Blue Crab Juicy Seafood & Bar opens in Maplewood
A new seafood spot, Blue Crab Juicy Seafood & Bar, is now open at 3248 Laclede Station Road in Maplewood. The restaurant is Cajun-inspired and offers a wide variety of seafood options.
This is the third Blue Crab location (there is one in Dayton, Ohio, and another in Indianapolis, Indiana). General manager Huang Chen is excited for the St. Louis location, and the menu will be relatively the same.
The menu features an array of seafood options, ranging from shrimp, clams, mussels, lobster, and, of course, blue crab. There is also a large range of appetizers and sides, including hushpuppies, crab cake and corn on the cob. There are options to choose from seafood combos, boils or more – all with a level of spiciness ranging from none to extra-hot.
Once a liquor license is secured, likely within a month or so, there will be a selection of beer, wine and cocktails, along with weekly specials.
The 3,900-square-foot space features a seaside vibe with plenty of natural wood and seats about 140 people. “It’s pretty nice – everyone says the atmosphere is comfortable,” Chen said. There is no patio.
The dine-in restaurant currently offers carryout and hopes to soon partner with delivery apps. Orders can be placed by calling 314.282.0056, online or in-store.
