The Biloxi Chamber of Commerce wanted to honor local law enforcement by hosting a shrimp and fish fry drive-thru.
The drive-thru fry was created last year in place of the Biloxi Seafood Festival which was canceled due to the COVID-19.
The event was such a success last year, the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce decided to host the event again this year.
Combo plates of shrimp and fish with baked beans and potato salad were served for $12. Chairperson Lawanda Jones said, “We had such a great response from the community. By doing this is was just an added layer to what we already do for the community. So, we could give back more in regards to the grants and the scholarships. That’s what it is all about. We are fundraising to put it right back into the community and make sure that we keep our economic growth.”
Sponsors of the event had the privilege of sponsoring plates for members of the Biloxi Police and Fire Department.
