Lawmakers from Missouri, Kansas and Florida have announced friendly wagers ahead of this Sunday’s Super Bowl match-up between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to a Wednesday press release from Crist’s office, should the Buccaneers win, Cleaver and Davids will “provide world-famous KC barbeque and wear Buccaneers masks on the House Floor when Congress is back in session.”

Should the Chiefs win, Crist and Castor have agreed to provide “beloved local Latin guava pastries,” as well as flan and Cuban sandwiches, and wear Kansas City masks on the floor of the House.
Crist said in a statement along with the press release, “Our Bucs have the talent and heart to bring it home for the people of Tampa Bay.”
“Beating the reigning champs on our own home turf, I couldn’t imagine a more incredible scenario,” the Florida congressman added. “I hope my esteemed colleagues from Kansas City are ready to rock the right shade of red on the House floor. The Lombardi Trophy isn’t leaving Tampa Bay.”
While the Super Bowl is generally played in a neutral site, this year’s annual football event will be hosted at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium.
Castor echoed Crist’s remarks in her own statement, writing, “Tampa is the City of Champions, and we’ll continue the tradition when the Buccaneers become the first NFL team in history to play and win a home Super Bowl.”

Last year marked a successful one for Tampa sports teams, with the Tampa Bay Lightning taking the Stanley Cup and the Rays advancing to the World Series, where they were defeated by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
However, the representatives from the home of reigning Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs, are confident the big game will go in their favor, with Davids claiming “the City of Champions” title for Kansas City.
“Kansas City is ready to run it back and bring home another Super Bowl trophy, which will be made even sweeter by desserts from Tampa Bay,” Davids said in a statement.
Cleaver added in his own statement, “Chiefs Kingdom has been ready to Run It Back since last February, and the only way we fail to do so is if we miss the bus to the game on Sunday afternoon.”

"Of course I am predicting a Chiefs victory — 31-24,” Marshall said in a video shared on Twitter. “I can’t wait to have those stone crab claws with my medium rare steak from our family farm. God bless the Chiefs. To everyone in Chiefs nation: wake up, it’s time to start cheering for the Chiefs.”
