China has again detected the coronavirus on seafood packaging, this time at a cold storage warehouse in Lanzhou, Gansu province, reports CCTV News.
The single positive sample was taken from a package of frozen shrimp, Lanzhou City’s Health Commission said on Friday (Nov. 13).
The country of origin or company that produced the shrimp were not named.
The shrimp had been transported from Tianjian, China’s biggest port of entry for imported shrimp in 2018. Last week a worker at a cold storage warehouse in Tianjin dealing with imported frozen pork tested positive for COVID-19.
Local authorities are conducting on-site management and control of the facility, which is in Lanzhou's Chengguan District.
"All personnel in the Jiaojiawan Refrigeration Plant are undergoing nucleic acid tests, and all foods involved are being sealed and checked," reported CCTV News, citing the official report.
