Vince's Crab House owners call for Baltimore County executive to be removed amid protests

The owners of Vince's Crab House in Middle River claim Baltimore County is not doing enough to protect their business from demonstrators, and they're calling for county Executive Johnny Olszewski's removal as a result.Demonstrators held a "Johnny O Must Go" rally Friday outside the county executive's building. They're pushing for the county to add a charter amendment, allowing the county to recall Olszewski from his position.Since July, protesters have gathered outside the Vince's Crab House location after one of the owners mocked the Black Lives Matter movement on social media.“We have watched many people be verbally attacked, chased down the street, threatened, defamation of one's character and just down right disrespected. The protesters goal remains to be putting our business out,” Brenda Meyers, Vince's Crab House. Baltimore County spokesman Sean Naron sent 11 News a statement, saying: "These increasingly absurd claims remain baseless and categorically untrue. The brave men and women of our police department continue to keep our neighborhoods safe while respecting residents' right to peaceful protest. Rather than grandstand, these individuals should instead consider providing a sincere apology for their racist remarks and divisive rhetoric."
