US value-added shrimp brand SeaPak has launched a new bagel-flavored item it hopes will resonate with consumers.
The brand, owned by Rich Products Corporation, plans to sell the frozen "Everything Bagel Butterfly Shrimp". which is seasoned with sesame seeds, salt, poppy seeds, dried garlic and dried onion, at grocers across the US.
“This trend keeps growing and growing,” said Kristen Beadon, the brand's director of marketing said in a press release. “Our Everything Bagel Butterfly Shrimp brings an entirely new dimension to the value-added shrimp category, and with so many families eating at home more than ever now, we’re excited to launch something new for our customers to try!”
The 12-ounce package includes nine ounces of bagel-seasoned, tail-on shrimp and three ounces of a cream cheese chive dipping sauce. It is suggested to retail at $8.99 a box.
