BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – One of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission‘s officers out on patrol noticed a boat sitting low in the water. Then he saw two people tampering with a blue crab trap.

The officer made his way to a nearby boat ramp to wait for them to return to dock.

Calling for assistance, a second officer mobilized to the scene and performed a fisheries inspection.

The officers found several violations including 21 undersized red drums, an undersized sea trout, and other species violations, along with charges that included willfully molesting a crab trap that was not theirs.

The suspects were booked into the County Jail on multiple charges.
