BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The start of crab season has been delayed one week in the northern San Juans, Blaine, and Birch Bay.
Fish and Wildlife posted the change Saturday saying additional time was needed for crab shell conditions to improve.
Crabbing will now open in Marine Area 7 North August 20th, Thursdays through Mondays.
7-day per week crabbing will be allowed starting September 24th in area seven-north and seven-south.
