Forget your forks and knives and make sure your hands are sanitized because you’re going to need them to dig into some Cajun seafood in Hawaiian Gardens when seafood chain The Kickin’ Crab opens.
The restaurant was originally set to open Aug. 5 but was pushed back for two weeks due to inspections being delayed, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
The new spot will be located at 12130 Carson St., and like others in the chain it will serve all sorts of seafood goodies that are meant to be eaten by hand, such as raw and fried oysters, popcorn shrimp, fried calamari and fish tacos.
They also sell seafood by the pound in a bag with options including Dungeness crab, lobster, crawfish and mussels.
But they also have some dishes that require utensils, including clam chowder, gumbo and seafood pasta.
There are more than a dozen Kickin’ Crab locations in the state with most in Southern California cities such as Buena Park, Corona, Lynwood, Hollywood and Rowland Heights.
